denim days of summer….

By Lyndsey Zorich | Follow Lyndsey on Facebook and Instagram

During a blogging break the other night I discovered some denim amazingness from a new favorite website for trendy clothes at affordable prices. The matching top/shirt ensemble took me back to college days when I rocked a crocheted sleeveless top (that laced up the back, sorry Dad!) and looked like it could have been hand made by one of my boho-wannabe pals (you know who you are). It paired nicely with a matching woven mini skirt. Or so I convinced myself at the time. Well my new double denim ensemble is significantly more conservative, but makes me feel like I’m back in my 20′s again. This is definitely on the girls night out outfit rotation. I wore it to my best friends 31st birthday party and we acted the part to perfection. This number also proved to be concert ready paired with my Lucchese boots. These pieces could easily be worn separately too, I’d rock this v-neck with the skirt and love the top with jeans and slides.

P.S. I’m also crushing hard on this tunic  and this denim vest.

Don’t miss the Nordstrom Anniversary sale!

By Lyndsey Zorich | Follow Lyndsey on Facebook and Instagram

The sale of the year is here!

What’s on tap for the weekend, y’all? I’ll be shopping the Nordstrom anniversary sale during the babies’ nap time. These Rag & Bone booties are calling my name, and it’s hard to find these gems on sale. We have at least a few more months before the first cold front in Houston, but I’m dreaming of this wool cape when it finally drops to 65 degrees. Ha. But these boyfriend jeans are perfect for right now and this Chloe bag is perfect for every season too. I’m having a moment with rose gold and this Michel Kors watch is the best price I’ve seen. This timeless wrap dress is perfect for the office but would look great with booties on the weekend. Oh, and don’t forget something for the kids and the hubs. This jacket for him and school shoes for LE. Happy weekend!!

Designer earrings for $20 + a new trend

If Dior says so….

I’ve had my eye on these gorgeous Dior pearl resin studs for months. And lo and behold, Bauble Bar delivers this designer look in pearl, pavemetallic and rainbow colors, for as little as $18!

My girl Lupita approves, so how can you NOT jump on board this earring trend?!

What do y’all think of my new studs? At first, I felt a bit rocker/goth in these gems, but after a few wears, I’m liking them with pretty much anything I throw on…

July 4th then and now.

July 4, 2012: LE with her twin cousins. The babies are clearly thrilled to pose for a photo :)

July 4, 2013: Family photo + a bun in the oven….

July 4, 2014: Sisters…

Life is so fast. I mean, look at how much has changed in Miss LE’s life in a couple of years. This time last year, she was just figuring out walking and could say 5 words. A year later she’s singing Frozen songs form start to finish and repeating every word we say. Full on parrot mode. What a blessing, these 2 sweet babies in 3 years of marriage. At the same time my heart missed my Mom this Fourth of July. It was always her favorite holiday. I have such vivid childhood memories of she and I picking out our favorite fireworks together, clapping and cheering more with every last illuminated blast of color in the sky. Well the Z fam didn’t see any fireworks this year. After hosting a BBQ at our house the bambinos were totally maxed out on fun with a few hours of daylight to spare. There are lots of fireworks shows in our future though and I’ll  think of my Mom when I get to watch with my two sweet little girls in my lap.

C was the easiest to photograph, since she’s not yet on the move like her big sister…

And a few photos of the party food/decor :)

Santa Barbara chic

By Lyndsey Zorich | Follow Lyndsey on Facebook and Instagram

I love everything about Santa Barbara. It really is my happy place. We spent a little over a week there last month and it was absolute bliss. The kids did really well traveling and we met up with friends and family which makes vacationing that much more fun. This place is kid heaven. The beach, the zoo, free fruit and balloon animals at the Farmer’s Market just to name a few of the activities on repeat while we are there. And adult heaven too. Think wine country, hikes with views of the mountains and golf with the Pacific ocean as your water hazard. I also love how relaxed the street style is in Santa Barbara. Women here do comfortable chic better than anywhere else I’ve ever been. I dig high heels as much as the next shoe enthusiast, but urge you to leave yours at home when you vacation here….

Outfit details: found at Diani boutique, also here online, / shorts, old but similar here and here / sandals, sold out online, similar here, also love these / bracelet / skinny cuff / letter necklace also found at Kuhl-Linscomb / earrings, found at Diani boutique in Santa Barbara, similar here / backpack / sunglasses

P.S. I can’t believe I failed to mention the amazing shopping in the “adult heaven” description earlier. Diani boutique, Dressed and K. Frank to name a few of my faves….

J Crew summer sale

By Lyndsey Zorich | Follow Lyndsey on Facebook and Instagram

After returning from a week at the beach, I find the J. Crew summer style guide in my stack of mail. The post vacay blues getting worse with each flip of the page since it was shot at the beach, no doubt. Thank goodness, the shopping gods delivered an awesome summer sale to help me beat the blues. 30% off summer styles is definitely the pick me up I need. I’ve had my eye on this linen tank which I love with white jeans. I’ve looked high and low for a gold cuff and this one is everything I’ve ever wanted in a bracelet. In the summer shoe department, these espadrilles are easy to throw on with most anything and these flip flops will look awesome on the hubs. Here are my three favorite looks from the guide…absolute perfection.

Boom! 4th of July style…

By Lyndsey Zorich | Follow Lyndsey on Facebook and Instagram

What’s on tap for the 4th? We’re hosting a little backyard BBQ at Casa Z. Surviving the H-town heat with inflatable baby pools, snow cones, and maybe a slip ‘n slide for good measure. Here are some of my favorite looks for America’s birthday party.

These shorts had me at map print. I can’t stop (won’t stop) wearing them. Casual BBQ, yes please. Date night, yessss. Calendar shoot, obviously yes. Beach day, yes and yes. And on, and on, and on. I’ve paired them with everything from a white v-neck tee and birks, to a graphic print top and wedges, to a matching print silk top and high heel sandals to an oversized sweater and slides. I’m trying hard to give these shorts a break in the summer outfit rotation, but it’s been a challenge. They have an elastic waistband (room for an extra slice of pizza at dinner) and they feel like pajamas on. The pleats are super chic and the print is whimsical but still grown up. The perfect summer fling.

A few action shots of these go to summer shorts…

Look 3: shorts / sweater, mine is the knock off version from here but it’s sold out / slides, similar here and here / hat / sunnies

A Couture Cause, part deux

By Lyndsey Zorich | Follow Lyndsey on Facebook and Instagram

Soooo, I’ve been a bit MIA over the past few weeks because it’s calendar time again! If you weren’t following along this time last year, I was pregnant with a second baby girl and bringing to life a new charity endeavor {that at times felt kinda like the whole pregnancy/child birth process…} A project that my best gal pal and I created from an idea on a bar napkin and a follow up Facebook post about shooting a Manrepeller{esq) calendar in Houston. We called this little pipe dream A Couture Cause and our baby was born/launched last October while I sat in the hospital about to have my own real life baby. Think high fashion clothes that your girlfriends would compliment you on and your boyfriend might say he likes {or better yet, tell you not so much} while secretly yearning for a LBD instead of a cropped moto and cigarette pants. I digress. So we’ve been anxiously revving up for our charity calendar project; planning meetings with our photographer and creative director, scoping out shot locations, and running around town for fittings at some amazing Houston boutiques, with some rock star women. Here are a few photo outtakes from the past few weeks of madness.

The old saying “Two’s a party, three’s a crowd” need not apply when it comes to putting together a a legit styling team. We are so pumped to introduce you to our newest crew member/stylist extraordinaire, Amee. Amee has an incredible eye for fashion and all things fabulous.

Oh, and we brought on some busy bee interns too. Meet the Z sisters.

Pretty rad, right?

And sometimes you gotta take one for the team and try on a fabulous leather moto jacket. Just to be sure it’s not lined with poison before your model wears it, naturally. ;)

This is just a smattering of what’s to come from some of the best boutiques in the country, featuring new fashion/jewelry designs from our very own Houston based talent. Stay tuned for behind the scenes action from our first shoot.
